ABOUT US

Our Training Centre was established in 2006 with a view to helping learners develop or learn skills within the following trades: Brickwork, Painting & Decorating, Plumbing, Tiling and Plastering. The Centre is run by Maurice & Jeanette Fullagar and the all the courses are delivered by extremely competent tradesmen with over 30 years experience within the Construction Industry and their chosen trades.

The centre is very keen for learners to enjoy their time with us, and develop or learn skills in a relaxed atmosphere. All our courses are practical ‘hands on’, using top of the range tools and materials – supplied and demonstrated by our Tutors. All learners will leave with an information pack regarding their chosen Course, and any questions or information required before, during or after the course, will be readily answered.

Based in the North West the Centre is very accessible – we are approx 2 minutes from Junction 7 of the M62, just off the A570 St Helens Linkway. Accommodation is readily available throughout the town, and help and guidance can be given regarding this. 

Maurice Fullagar (Director), is a fully qualified time served Bricklayer with over 32 years experience within this trade. Maurice served his apprenticeship with J Yearsley & Sons in St Helens working his way up from Apprentice Bricklayer to Foreman Bricklayer onto General Foreman, before going on to successfully run his own Building Company for over 16 years. Maurice then decided to go into Teaching where after a couple of part time teaching posts, he started a Full Time position with Warrington Collegiate where he gained his Assessors Certificate, Internal Verifier Certificate and his Certificate in Education.

Maurice together with Jeanette manages the every day running of the Centre.

Jeanette Fullagar (Director), comes from an Admin background. Since leaving School Jeanette has been involved within Admin in various roles including, Wages Clerk, Building Society Cashier moving on to Supervisory Cashier and Insurance Clerk. Jeanette has also been involved with the preparation of estimating projects with Maurice for Fullagar Building Company. Jeanette has great organisational and communication skills and together with Maurice manages the every day running of the Centre.

Andy Battersby (Technician), facilitates between tutors and learners meeting their needs and requirements throughout the day. Andy is hardworking, approachable and welcoming to all learners and visitors alike. Since joining us in 2007, andy has been a valuable member of our team.
