This apprenticeship allows you to study towards a recognised qualification whilst in an employed position or during a work placement.
If you wish to train and qualify as a Joiner then this is the apprenticeship for you.
As a Joinery apprentice you will begin to build your understanding by working towards and completing a level 2 diploma programme of learning and also the related NVQ in Site Carpentry.
How long is the apprenticeship programme?
The apprenticeship is targeted to be completed within 18 months.
How will I be trained and assessed?
Underpinning knowledge and practical training will be provided within a model to suit you and your employer or work based placement provider at our approved centre in St Helens. The support of a designated assessor will support you to collect the work based evidence required to enable you to complete the NVQ element of the apprenticeship.

Once you have completed the apprenticeship, as a Joiner you will be equipped with the necessary skills and qualifications required for working in this sector of the Construction industry.
What can I go on to study?
Following on from level 2 there is the opportunity to progress on to an advanced level 3 apprenticeship and the potential to work in a supervisory role.
